Terms of Service
Last updated July 26, 2026
This is a plain-English summary of how StockWatch works — it is not legal advice. StockWatch is a free tool that helps students and first-time investors learn about the stock market; you don't trade real money through it.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using StockWatch, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
Who StockWatch is for
StockWatch is built to help students and first-time investors learn how the stock market works. It is a learning tool — you don't buy, sell, or trade real money through StockWatch.
If you are under 18, please use StockWatch with a parent, guardian, or teacher's permission. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
Not financial advice
StockWatch is a monitoring tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app — prices, alerts, signals, or summaries — is investment, financial, or trading advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. Do your own research and consider talking to a licensed professional before you invest.
Market data may be delayed or inaccurate
Prices and market data come from third-party providers and are passed through under their terms. That data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and alerts may fire late or not at all. Don't rely on StockWatch as your only source for time-sensitive decisions.
Service provided as-is (no warranty)
StockWatch is a free, educational tool offered “as is” and “as available.” We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we make no warranties about accuracy or fitness for any purpose.
Acceptable use
Please use StockWatch reasonably. Don't:
- try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the market data in ways the data providers wouldn't allow;
- use the app for anything unlawful.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, StockWatch and its maintainer aren't liable for any losses — including trading or investment losses — that result from using the app, from data being delayed or inaccurate, or from the service being unavailable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continuing to use StockWatch after a change means you accept the updated terms.

How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
